Woollies
4 Waggers is a non-profit organisation who rely on
their nationwide army of volunteer knitters to create
the stunning dog coats which are then featured and sold
on their website.
For each coat they ask for a donation and postage costs.
You will be helping rescue dogs across the UK while kitting
your dog out in a stylish warm jumper.
Woollies 4 Waggers is run completely by volunteers. 100%
of donations given for the knitted coats go to Dogs
Trust. |
The founder of the site, Jill Danson, says:
"I would not even be able to guess the number of forever
homes Dogs Trust has found for the dogs in their care. For those
dogs who are unable to be rehomed due to the trauma they have
often been subjected to, there will always be a home for them
in the rescue centre. No healthy dog will ever be put to sleep
while in the Dogs Trust care.
If you have a place in your home and your heart for a furry friend
then please visit your local Dogs Trust Rescue Centre."

for details on how
to buy your coat. As woolies4waggers supports non-profit rescue
organisations, they would appreciate a minimum donation for the
coats that have been created by their wonderful volunteers.
Their knitters are their lifeline. Without their dedication, patience
and skills they would never be able to help the many dog rescue
centres throughout the UK. Could you help? The styles are as simple
or as complicated as you can manage, so whether you are a novice
or knitting expert, they would love to hear from you. Every stitch
you knit will be helping a dog in rescue. Visit Could
you be a Woollies 4 Waggers Knitter? for more information.
As
the sale of dog coats is so seasonal, they have introduced a 'Woollies
4 Humans' page and a 'Woollies 4 Home' page will be featured shortly.
They hope this will boost donations to Dogs Trust during the warmer
summer months.
As you can imagine they are always looking for donations of yarn
and buttons and would welcome any donations people could make.
Their website features Regional Coordinators who can be contacted
regarding any enquiries or offers of help.
The website also features a 'News and Events' page and they welcome
any rescue centre to contact them with details of upcoming events.
They are only too happy to add them to their website.
