The
National Microchipping campaign is organised by the Kennel Club.
The aim is to promote pet microchipping as the preferred method
of permanent identification and to highlight the importance of
keeping the details up to date once microchipping has been done.
So if your pet is already chipped, why not let National Microchipping
Month serve as a reminder to you to check that your pet’s
details are current and accurate. If your pet is not already chipped
then this is an ideal time to get your dog chipped.
Caroline Kisko, The Kennel Club Secretary, says "So many
people are still unaware of how simple, effective and necessary
it is to microchip their pet. It's not until their pet goes missing
that they really become aware of the value of the service."
During June, microchipping events for dogs will be held across
the UK. These events provide easy access to microchipping services
and offer free or reduced rate microchipping while stocks last.
Specially trained personnel will be in attendance to carry out
the simply procedure.

microchips are about the size of two grains of rice. |
