I was recommended Dr John's Gold by my next door neighbour. He had 2 working Labrador gun dogs which died short after each other. One was 15yrs old and the other 14. I have a labradoodle and he loves it. We have just got an very under weight standard poodle and although he will eat anything it usually went straight through him. Now he is on Dr John's he is putting on weight and his stools are solid. Great food and at a sensible price.

I have been feeding this since it came on the market. Protein levels are not sky high and my dogs and pups have thrived. It needs to be congratulated as a quality feed and at a sensible price!!

If my dogs are happy I'm happy. My dogs love this food. Alright I am sceptical about the percentages rule on ingredients however I do understand that where meat is concerned cost is involved. 60% of a chicken for example is not meat, it is feathers eyes feet bones intestines etc. therefore within a kibble there has to be room for the opils and meat, herbs, vitamins and minerals etc. thats why theres a small percent meat. The more you pay the more meat you get simple really. We used to pay 47 per bag for a brand of dog food thinking that the best price was the best food and our gsd was having allergy problems from it. Her coat dried up and her eyes went dull. On this new food shes looking gorgeous again and for 30 quid less every time.

My active German Sheperd has been on Dr. John Platinum for the last 3 months. I am very pleased with the food. It agrees with her digestion and her coat has a wonderful sheen. It is very economical £10.99 for a 15kg bag. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Was recommended this food by my vet for one of my hyperactive dogs. It is colouring and additive free and has a low protein level. Within a few weeks I put all 3 of my dogs on the food. Massive improvements in all of them, really impressed and would definately recommend!

l would never recommend this dog food. I tried it with my dogs for a week and will never touch it again. The dog food has 8% of what it is supposed to have.....what is the other 92%... like the pet shop said....sawdust...literally. I wouldn't touch this food ever again.
